What is the best escape room of PRAGUE ?
In addition to being a beautiful city, Prague is now renowned for its high-quality escape rooms. Moreover, its attractive prices will allow you to enjoy a maximum number of rooms.
We discovered Prague’s escape rooms during a single trip in late 2021. All the recommended rooms are located in the capital and easily accessible on foot or by public transportation from the city center.
Two brands dominate the scene: The Chamber and MindMaze. However, since our visit, Padlock has made a name for itself with a 36th place at TERPECA 2022 for its game “Safe: The Secret of Jack Daniel.”

AN INCREDIBLE STORY OF NAUTILUS

Nautilus is clearly a must-visit in Europe. It’s the kind of epic adventure that will transport you to a remarkable universe. The story is brilliantly crafted and is full of humorous references. The game mastering is fantastic and the game master embodies a true travel companion. A unmissable experience when visiting Prague.

HAUNTED HOUSE 2 : POLTERGEIST

We’re dealing with a high-quality immersive and horrifying adventure. The immersion is total in a frighteningly realistic setting. The acting is precisely choreographed and respect the players, with no physical contact involved. Fans of spectacular horror will be more than satisfied with Poltergeist.

HAUNTED HOUSE

This is the first episode of the Haunted House diptych. Although we didn’t quite understand the connection with Poltergeist, Haunted House 1 is a fantastic experience. The originality of the adventure lies in a unique object that allows you to trace the history of the places you explore. The intensity of fear is much lower than in Poltergeist, which can serve as a good warm-up before playing episode 2.

GALACTIC PIONEERS

An outstanding room that was considered one of the best in Europe upon its release. It even received a TERPECA award in 2019, ranking as the 46th best room in the world. During our test in 2022, it was still very enjoyable to play, with playful puzzles that fit well within a scientific and futuristic theme. Although escape rooms have evolved since then, Galactic Pioneers is still a room to add to your to-do list when visiting Prague.

OPUS MAGNUM

Although there is nothing extraordinary about Opus Magnum, it remains a very enjoyable escape room to play. The puzzles flow smoothly and fit well within the mysterious library-themed decor.

The room was a few years old when we visited. Upon its release, it was likely one of the largest escape rooms in the city. There are some great ideas in this adventure. However, unfortunately, the space is not optimized well enough for an optimal experience.

How to surprise in such an often-used theme? The set design is of high quality but could quickly deteriorate if not properly maintained. The The graphic style is reminiscent of the rooms from the “Claustrophobia” franchise. However, the adventure lacks excitement and surprises. We were somewhat left unsatisfied in an escape room that is quite small in size.

What a disappointment… We were completely taken out of the adventure, although it did provide us with a memorable burst of laughter. Nothing works in terms of game design. The anachronisms break the immersion. We get lost in an astronomical amount of unfolded parchments. It’s very difficult to engage with the adventure, especially in the last room where you have to imagine missing scenery altogether.
